I'm an existing O2 customer,  bought a new phone last week and asked for my existing number which I've had for years to be transferred to my new SIM.

After a week and two one hour calls I was told that this would be completed today however the SIM seems to have transferred but I can't text or make calls and the phone is not being recognized.

I have no network and do not want to go through another 1 hr hold to be transferred to CSAs again.

Can anyone help?

Sorry but O2 customer service is dreadful.

@Liam_M If you're an existing customer all you would have needed to do is put your old sim in your new phone. If what you want to do is get a 5G sim, the easiest thing for you to do is call into an O2 store, if you have one nearby, and they'll set a new sim up for you. Be sure to bring photo ID with you.

@Liam_M We are all customers and can't help with your issue. You'll need to speak to customer service. If you have no phone to use, download Skype to call the freephone numbers below Guide: A Guide to Skype
Call 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
