Moving from Simplicity to Contract (Credit Check)

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am currently on a 1 month rolling Simplicity contract which I have been on since March 2012 and never been late with a payment. I recently applied to upgrade to a long term contract which is still 'In progress' and I'm worried that as I'm not on the electoral register I will therefore fail the credit check.
So I'm wondering do you automatically fail if you aren't on the electoral register or does it just go against you? And will the fact I've been paying an o2 bill for nearly a year go in my favour?

(Do they even do a credit check if its an Upgrade and not a new customer?)

Yes, you need to be on the electoral roll to get a contract.
