Mast problem, now over a month

Signed up for an O2 contract recently. Checked coverage for my area and good 4g available indoors & out. But since the 17th October only managing just 2g at most as it's telling me there's a mast problem in my area. Paying a monthly fee for not a lot of service at the moment and still non the wiser about the length of time this is to go on for. Not happy.

Edited to add. O2 wont put a timescale on repair of masts

O2 will never give a promise date for repairs.
All you can do is keep checking and reporting the issue.
Use the MyNetwork app https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network
You should also get a goodwill credit on your account once the issue is fixed if you call customer services and ask them http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Have reported the fault on several occasions. My network app still says there's a mast problem. I got an update to say it had been fixed but when I checked it was still at fault. No updates since and that was over 2 weeks ago.

Well I really hope its sorted soon @MarkH217. More than annoying when paying for a service that you can't use...:smileysad:

Same here, I wouldn't ordinarily mind but only recently signed up as was originally on Vodafone, then EE both of which had problems. Think I'll just keep putting a new report on daily.

For the next 9 days ordinarily you could have used the wonder that is TU but if you haven't registered already the app won't  allow you to now. 

And there you have it O2.... what have you done!
