Lost Phone on monthly contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

I recently lost my phone and didn't have insurance. I understand that I will have to keep paying the monthly fee but is there any way I can lower the tariff as I still have at least 4 months left on the contract and paying what I am without the phone or a sim seems quite unreasonable? any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe as long as you took out the contract before March 2012 (which you did) you are allowed to drop one tariff at the halfway point of your contract. Hopefully you had the sim blocked but as advised, get a replacement sim so you can carry on using your contract.

Depending on when you started your tariff you may be allowed to drop one level. You can check and drop in "My O2". You can also get another SIM off O2 for free and put it in any other unlocked or O2 phone and continue using your contract.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
