Hi, I took out an O2 pay monthly SIM card in June last year. I had it for 3 days then cancelled due to terrible reception. I was told I had nothing to pay and the account would be closed. I then got charged a £54 leaving fee which I queried and was told was incorrect and that it would be rectified. It wasn’t and has now become a default on my credit report. I have been trying to sort this out with O2 as I have now had my mortgage in principle declined. I’ve sold my house and am applying for a mortgage. Apparently it’s all with the amendments team but I can’t chase it up and have no idea how long it’s going to take. I need it done ASAP. Can anyone help ? Thank you

You need to keep speaking to the payment referral team they are your main point of contact to sort it out. Just ask to speak to them when you call O2 it might take speaking to one or two departments first before you get put through. They will send all info onto the credit referral team. They are not customer facing so you can’t talk to them. They should email you when they get your information. If they do there is a way to reply to them within the encrypted email message they send. It sounds complicated but it’s not on the email once you open it at the top there is a reply option. If you reply to that they will get back to you. Just keep ringing, emailing I even went on twitter and complained after each post they reply to that too. I hope you get it sorted it’s so stressful. Let me know if I can be of more help. Oh and I’m a she not a he. Good luck.
