Incoming calls displaying as unknown

have just upgraded my phone (to a Samsung s20+ 5g), had to have a new sim, and now all my incoming calls are displaying as unknown, despite numbers not being withheld.... help please!

Go to settings/application manager and look for phone in the list (green icon) and click on it. From here just select the clear data button. Also check the app has all permissions to read contact list. You may or may not have to restart after.
