Can anyone please tell me if any incoming calls received when abroad are charged to your bill even though these calls are not answered? I have been getting calls from unknown UK numbers, never answered them but still got charged. How did that happen???

They will probably been sent back to your voicemail but when that clicked in they hung up.

The return leg to your voicemail would be chargable if you are outside the EU.

If you don’t need it then switch off voicemail before you go
