My direct debit has been set up to be paid "on or around the 1st" of every month. However, this means that sometimes I'm making two payments in a month and I can't afford for this to be happening. How can I change the date for the direct debit to come out to avoid this happening?

Phone O2 on 202 from your mobile and ask them to change it.
You can't do this in MyO2.
