Giving a O2 Pay Monthly handset to a O2 PAYG customer

Anonymous

Hi,

Apologies if this is a daft query!

I have a O2 pay monthly Iphone 4. I have recently upgraged to a Iphone 5.

I still have my old Iphone 4 handset and would like to give this to my son who is currently an O2 PAYG customer with a very old Iphone.

Can this be done easily? Or do I have to request unlocking of my handset?

Thanks,

Matt

No, its fine. Just make sure he has the correct sim size (free from o2 shop) to fit the iPhone 4.

He will also need to make sure his apn settings are right for Payg.

Probably a sim swap may be needed if he's using an older iPhone.

He can pick up a blank sim easily enough from an O2 shop and they'll do the swap my sim procedure there for him.
