Hi,
Can anyone tell me how one reports a technical network problem to O2? I've talked to O2 reps, both online and on the phone, and they seem both unable to comprehend the issue and unwilling to deal with it as an O2 problem, not a client difficulty.
In short, for weeks now there has been an issue with the 3G internet service in the Gants Hill area of East London. Phones pick up the 3G signal, but there is no internet connectivity whatsoever. I suspect the mast at fault is the one on Eastern Ave, immediately west of the Gants Hill roundabout. If I take a bus in any direction and my phone picks up the 3G signal from a different mast, I have no issues.
Tx

There is nothing showing here so report it to O2 is all you can do:
If you know of anyone else having the issue get them to phone in too.

I know there is no fault indicated on the status map - it's been like that the whole time. I suppose it shows, correctly, that there is no issue with the 3G signal itself. I still can't do anything online when in the area.
I don't plan to do any community organizing for something that should be way simpler - signalling a real problem to the company that supposedly provides me with services I pay for.

Hi,
Ive had similar issues where I live also.
Switching to 2g helped.
Also cleaning my sim helped too.
Have you tried raising a complaint about the mast even tho it reports as ok as previously suggested.

Did you not read the OP?
The problem is getting someone to listen.

There is, indeed, an active internet service on GPRS. Try using it for Google Maps though. As I don't have a problem anywhere else in London, I see no point in fishing out the SIM. Tx anyway.

I'm totally chilled, you on the other hand are misreading the posts.
The OP has reported this and had no help from O2.
They have clearly raised a question about the masts which is why they're here.

I have, as mentioned already, chatted with an O2 rep online and talked to another over the phone (202). None were helpful, nothing has changed.
No big drama. It's just annoying that I can't have an intelligent and useful conversation with O2 on this one.

I agree, it's annoying when you report an issue and feel nobody is listening.
If there is a problem with the mast it should be picked up by the network engineers at some stage, but it would be helpful to get it recognised now.
