I noticed 2 02 accounts on my credit report which I did not sign up to. I contacted 02 and let them know these accounts are fraudulent and I want to know what identity documents have been provided to open these accounts, assuming this would be required in order to open the accounts. It is like banging my head against a brick wall. 02 have not been helpful, deny any fraudulent activities because payment is being made towards the accounts. That means 02 do not care if their customers are fraudsters as long as they are getting their money. Please can someone point me in the right direction? I need to know what identity documents of mine the fraudsters have so I can protect myself but 02 are not helping in this matter and seem to brush me off with replies regarding everything but the fraudulent activity. Please can somebody advise on this I would really appreciate it.

We're all customers here like yourself so cannot answer you, but the advice from O2 is as follows:
If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether that’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email – there are things you can do:
Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions
Change your account and online account passwords
Forward fraudulent texts to us for free on 7726 and we’ll look into them
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040
Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract with us using their details

Thanks for your reply.
These instructions advise that if you think someone has used your details to open a contract then contact the customer service team. I've done that to be told the query needs to be forwarded to the fraud team. The fraud team who seem to be on mushrooms or something, then contact me with a reply relating to everything but my issue. I have asked numerous times what identity documents of mine have been used to open the accounts but still have not received a direct answer. Then I am told the fraud team are not customer facing and to contact the customer service team and round and round we go. Its quite shocking. It seems like they do not care if their customers are fraudsters as long as they are getting their money. For me to protect myself from anything further, I need to know what identity documents of mine have been used to open these accounts and then I will be able to do what I need to.

@Ashashash They would not need documents to open an account.
They need: Name, DOB, Address (Including length of time in the property) Bank Name, Account Number and Sort Code.
They would do a credit search on those details and, if clear, would open an account.
Of all this information your bank details are the hardest and that is why spammers are always after this information.
I check my statements weekly. and credit records monthly If anything untoward I can action it.
