Wow, I don't think I'll be in any rush to go for this, I nearly choked on a rather good whisky:

4G tariffs

No one expected the next mobile internet step to be cheap. The entry level contract for 4G mobile broadband smartphones will set you back £36 per month and give a measly 500MB data allowance – so at 12Mb per second you’ll have shot your bolt in about 40 minutes.

The top tier tariff will be a whopping £56 per month and give a more respectable 8GB monthly limit.

If you need extra data in a month, it will be available in 50MB (£3), 500MB (£6), 2GB (£15) and 4GB (£20) data add ons.

Thing is at home I only use wifi so it decimates 4g but out on the road I'd love that speed is actually be able to stream a video if I was bored(well 1 or 2 before the cap hits)

Out of pure interest are the caps throttled after being reached or are they the old styles of just charging you more?

I use the wifi at home aswell then again as you say if your out and about them speeds are really good for everything. I can imagine battery life will drain very quickly with 4g though.

I only use wifi at home too.  As I don't live anywhere close to where the 4G is.  I would prefer if 2G in my area was upgraded to 3G grin
