I continually run out of my data allowance every month. Is there a way I can exchange some of my talk time for more data time so as not to alter my monthly charge. My partner is with 3 mobile and she gets unlimited data at a much lower rate than I am paying.

Unfortunately not. You can only get an extra data bolt on or pay for a bigger data allowance.
