Why have I been charged £2.22 for a call I tried to make to Sri Lanka - the call did not answer.

As far as I am aware, there is a minimum charge for the international connection regardless, but if concerned, you should contact customer services, although this isn't the best time to be trying to do so Guide: How to find help & contact O2

There must have been a connection of some type. My O2 will reveal just how many seconds the call was. A call to customer service will probably lead to a refund if it's mere seconds.
