Ive just joined O2 on a pay monthly contract. The e sim showed as activated yesterday when i completed the contract. Ive got a text today confirming my old phone number has been ported to O2, however I cannot make phone calls to most of the numbers in my contacts. I can call my wife who is also an o2 user but no others. Please help

It can take a couple of days for all of the systems that route calls to settle down after a number port @Keith_marriott
Keep rebooting your phone as well, but if you are still struggling on Thursday then get in touch with o2 - all numbers are in the guide below
