You will be emailed a code. You should put a non O2 SIM in the phone and start the phone. A box will pop up asking for a code which you should enter the one that O2 emailed to you. "Other" is ok as HTC does not appear on the list for some reason ??

Yes you can unlock your HTC Phone by filling in the unlock request 02 online form.

Thanks for your answers.

Once I have filled out the form to requested my phone to be unlocked,

will O2 give me a code to enter into the phone to unlock it or do they do

something remotely?

Also, I guess that I just select "Other" in the "What type of phone do you have?" field.

One last quick question.

When I get the lock code, does the code expire after a certain amount of

time. ? i.e. 30 days?

Just another quick question. My phone that I had when I took out my original contract was an HTC Desire S, which kept dropping signal, so after speaking with O2 they swapped my phone for a HTC Sensation about a year ago.

So my question is would the unlock code they give me be for the HTC Desire S
(as currently O2's system still thinks I have the Desire S as my details were never updaded), and if so would it work on the HTC Sensation, or would I have to tell them that the phone was swapped so that the Code is specific for the HTC Sensation?
