Any one else received a number of calls in past 24 hours from 0773629 numbers? I myself have a number beginning like that and in the past 24 hours I had 3 calls, wondering if there may have been a data/security breach. Contacted o2 customer services and no fraud has been committed against my account. Just very strange....

Just more of the constant spam we all receive these days.
Block the numbers and ignore them.

I would normally think that. But the second was a person, seemingly just a normal person claiming she had a missed call from me and was returning the call. I said I hadn't called anyone and she said it was strange but not to worry and hung up. I missed the third call. Weird.

Now recieved a text from someone with the same beginning number. Saying they've had a missed call from me and who am I. I'm not giving any details out obviously. They also have had 2 missed calls from numbers beginning 07736296.

@Dizzybear
Sounds like numbers spoofing, as the 07736 code is officially registered to Telefonica UK aka o2
I would report it to actionfraud and o2
From o2
You can help us do this by reporting spam callers by texting CALL to 7726 and we'll respond by asking for the number calling you. If we've got enough information we'll report them to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

The "good" thing from all this is that scammers will only spoof your number for a short period of time before moving on and spoofing another number.
Many people will experience this as they switch numbers almost daily.
