Just got my new iPhone 12 but using the same sim from my old iPhone XS. Told me in the shop that I could get 5g with the same SIM card but cannot seem to pick it up. Do you need a new SIM card for 5g

The store told you wrong.

You need a new simcard for 5G.

If you call 202 or 0844 809 0202, when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options
