02 won't unlock my iphone se

Anonymous
Not applicable

I had a iphone 6 on contract with 02 and paid it off. I then sold it and bought a iphone se and kept the same sim. I have decided to leave 02 to get a better tariff elsewhere but 02 won't unlock my iphone. There excuse, 'we're not unlockingthe  iphone se right now'

Anyone know of any other options? I'm pretty much stuck with a contract i don't want or need right now and i don't want any other tariff or pay as you go tariff they are offering.

They will unlock it if you've paid fully for it, did you buy the iPhone outright?

If you are still on contract then until you pay it off you won't be able to unlock the phone with 02 & even if you get it unlocked elsewhere it is most likely the phone would be barred due to none payment

after paying off my iphone 6 i immediatly sold it and bought a used iphone se for £240 locked to 02.

Everything is paid off, they are just refusing to unlock it because they 'aren't unlocking the iphone se right now'

Sounds to me like the original owner is still paying for it?

According to the Unlocking guide it's only the iPhone 7 and 7+ O2 aren't unlocking now
