Wrong number after port from previous network

After existing number ported from previous network, the ‘temporary’ o2 number is displayed as my number in contacts and for FaceTime calls. Any help much appreciated

Go to settings >phone >my number and change it manually to your correct number.

@AnonymousHow long ago did the port take place? Have you rebooted your phone? Usually takes up to 24 hrs to fully port over....

The issue is because O2 don't write phone numbers to the sim card so the phone picks up only the number used to activate the phone.
The only option is a manual change and then a reboot and a reset of Facetime and iMessage.
