Why not cancel the free web SMS service by the end of this year?

It would be sensible and fair by O2 to let the free web SMS service at least until the end of this year. Why not?

It doesn't damage anyhow O2 to wait until the end of year 2013.

Think about and if O2 will change mind so thank you in advance.

It's purely a business decision that's been made and finalised.

Yes I fully understand but 2 months before Christmas is it good business decision?

How big sense has this just from 1-th November and how big damage on his business will O2 get if it will change by 1-th January 2014?

The O2 company doesn't like to give customers a small Christmas gifts?

I understand your frustration.

This decision has been discussed on here etc ,and customers should have received notification giving people good time to change their e mail addresses.

This is a customer to customer forum.  O2 do not monitor these pages. If a moderator sees your post, it might be passed on, but the decision was made some time ago, and is not likely to change.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Oh, it's wrong understanding of stuff. It's not about an e-mail address but about cancellation of free SMS allowance via O2 website.

What a pain and a waste of my time.

Just been trying to figure out why I could no longer send SMS.

NO ONE TOLD ME IT WAS STOPPED

Some warning would have been nice!

I used the free online SMS because I find it much easier to type using my keyboard.

They could have easilly made it a pay per SMS service.

Or at very least give us a choice.

Thanks O2.

@wcs-tony unfortunately o2 had to give no notice about the closure of these services as they were additional services and not part of any core tariff mobile or broadband etc covered by t&c

I am not defending this but those are the facts.

But as a communication company they should have handled this better.
