Xiaomi Mi 6 - 4G - Band 20

Anonymous

Hello All,

I'm very intersted in purchasing the new Xiaomi Mi 6 and nearly purchased but done a bit of research and came across a problem and require some advise on if you all don't mind.

I have a company phone that runs off the o2 network and the plan was just to purchase the Mi 6 and put the sim in and use it, however i've noticed that the o2 network for 4G runs at 800Mhz (Band 20) and only this frequency for 4G and the Mi 6 does not support B20!!!

Can anyone advise if o2 4G runs off more bands than just 20?

Can anyone advise if they have a Mi 6 on the o2 network?

Anyway to unlock band 20 in the mi 6 phone?

Thanks all in advance.

You can get 4g on band 3 in some areas too but not all.
The Mi6 will run in 3G though.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
