I have a Nokia N73 mobile phone which I no longer use. I wish to unlock this phone from the O2 network. How can I do this?
I have another mobile a Nokia Lumia 630 which I now use on the O2 network.

A good help link from O2 explaining http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-and-devices/unlocking-your-iphone-and-using-it-on-another-network and a help thread written by MI5 http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-SIM-ca...

You'll need another uk networks SIM card , preferably not a virtual network, ready to insert in the phone to complete the unlocking sequence when you receive notification from O2.

If it's a P&G handset you need to have £15 credit availabe for the unlock. If Contract or has recently been used on contract then unlocking is free.

The sim you're using now will have to fit the N73 as well.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Also, if you have an O2 contract with another phone, it never hurts to use the sim in the old phone for a few days before filling in the online forms
*WINK it will be free *WINK

The sim card I use in the Lukia is not the right size for the N73. I looked at the form but it wants phone numbers and the phone number is on my new phone.

Get a sim adapter and put your contract sim in the N73 for a couple of days (make sure you make some calls) then use your phone number and the IMEI number of the N73. The unlock will be free.
