Samsung smart watch

I am thinking of buying a Samsung watch with lte and wondered the approx cost of connecting it to my existing iPhone contract

I didn’t explain myself clearly sorry. I will but the watch outright. What I want to know is how without ones iPhone nearby can you get emails etc. Via the watch. I am a technical moron but guess somehow it must be connected to the internet?

No it isn't possible because you can only link a Samsung watch to an iphone by bluetooth so once out of range it isn't connected.
