Ridiculous Final bill

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi everyone, my final bill just arrived - £559! It was a refresh plan and I cancelled within the first seven days and didn't use any of the contract.  I paid for the phone outright for £240 and was told that would be it? No other charges for cancelling early? Any advice?

In essence if you pay the phone plan off your free to leave and cancel.

I'd suggest ringing O2 cs to get clarification.

Faqs link. http://www.o2.co.uk/refresh/frequent-questions

"What if I want to leave O2 and end my O2 Refresh plan?
You just need to pay off whatever's left on your Phone Plan. Then you can either sign up to a new plan, or leave O2. If you'd like to leave O2, after you pay off your Phone Plan, ask us for your PAC code or give us notice to cancel your account."

What handset did you have? Just wondering if the payment made covers the phone plan in full?
