I bought a Lumia 620 from Virgin mobile (unlocked and a good price) and have been using it on O2 since August but the volume up button has recently stopped working. I understand this is a common problem and it probably needs a bit of soldering work to be done.
Would I be better sending it back to Virgin for repair (it is within the 12 month warranty) or sending it to the nearest Nokia Care centre ? I want the job done properly as apart from that I think it's a great phone.
Also I was thinking of factory resetting it before sending it in in case it gets lost or is not repairable. Is there an easy way of backing up and then restoring my apps/contacts/settings etc ?
Thanks

Phone delivered this morning and volume button working again.
So it was collected on Friday and returned on Wednesday which is quicker than I expected. Nokia and UPS did a very good job.
I put the memory card back in so Camera Roll is back how it was.I now need to reinstall my downloaded apps from my purchase history at https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my/purchase-history ,update settings for my downloaded apps, and tidy up the home screen and that should be it.
I hope the information on this thread helps anyone who has a similar problem with their Nokia phone.
