my phone is constantly asking that I 'Insert SIM card' even though it has previously been working fine with said SIM. The phone hasn't been dropped or damaged and I have tried the whole turn it off and turn it off again thing (removing the SIM and checking for physical damage before re-inserting)
HELP!!!!!

First off I would pop into your local O2 store and get a new sim card. They will arrange for your number to be transferred for you.
