Sometimes it's for free (short time only) in the iTunes store, but even this small money is ok, you'll safe tons of money after (saved me more then 2400€ in 1 1/4 year)
Viber is ok too, but Whatsapp is way better

Nope, but if I would've texted instead, it would have cost 0,19€ (0,15 GBP) per txt. The EU caped txts at 0,13€, but national rates can be different

Sorry for bumping an old thread, managed to get whatsapp last night via iTunes on my pc not through the iPhone or iPad as it wouldn't show up on the App Store on those devices
