Si. My media scanner on my galaxy ace has de ided to wipe my pictures. And back ups (two files worth) in all i have lost about a thousand pictures. which is christmas. Birthdays. My kids party... Actually in tears over this. Getting an older phone and buying a decent camera..

I dont think so. And i did back others up on fb and another memory card (so four separate bk ups in the end) and it wiped two. So saved about 500 pictures. Rest have gone i think x

well, bright side is i emailed a family member some photos, so thats a few nice ones saved, i found a memory card of ones that were older, and i have over 500 pictures on there ( i know, im an addict, but it worked in my favour this once!) so the only ones i am missing and cannot recover ( for some odd reason) are christmas day itself and a few of my daughter unwrapping birthday gifts. and i know the OH had a camera with him on those days, so im happier, 

 my motto is Photograph each day so you can live forever. i am aware, i have lost many good memories photo wise, but have them in my min always and now have space to create more,

I back up to iCloud and my mac.

Anything I cherish is then copied to an external hard drive.
