Its been a busy time for space exploration. Pluto has been seen in an all new light. (Join the discussion here), we've celebrated the anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission launch (see Bambino's thread here) and today is the anniversary of their safe return in the Pacific Ocean.
On top of all of that, NASA has released information on their discovery of Kepler452b, dubbed 'Earth 2.0' due to its distinct similarities for our own planet and its relative distance to its star.

No I never had any desire to go into Space. For me, life is far too short and there are so many other things I want to do on earth before I turn my toes up.
I admire the dedication of those who have experienced space travel...but not a burning ambition of mine if honest...
As for life on other planets...who knows? Any life would be completely different to humans...as we know them

Far too much to be seen and explored on Earth.

I'd love to go into space. If I was offered the opportunity, I'd go in a heartbeat. I'm certain there must be life elsewhere. We haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what we know about the universe. Are we really that vain to think that this is the only planet capable of supporting life?

I totally agree and I would think there are far more advanced species out there. Probably some less advanced than ourselves to be honest but I'm a great believer in the fact that this planet has bee visited many times throughout our documented history. But that's a subject that could run forever.

There may well be alien life out there somewhere, I would be surprised if there isn't.
Would I want to meet them........not sure about that?
