Hey hey!

It's World Cocktail Day champagne_glass and I thought it might be fun to have a little "cocktail-off(topic)"

I've put together a little tournament-style bracket with the most popular/traditional cocktails. Let me know which one is the winner in your books and if your absolute favourite isn't competing in the tourney, share the details (because some of us might want to make one)!

And while it's on your mind, go grab a free pint this weekend and kickstart next weekend early with Thirsty Thursday on Priority 😉

The Mojito (best one I had was in the Dream Inn, Santa Cruz, CA) and the tried-and-tested GnT have to be up there, I'd've thought.

I have definitely noticed the steadfastness of the G&T over here! It's not been that popular anywhere else I've lived. Not my thing at all but I do love a good mojito!

On my bracket, the whiskey sour is  head to head with a margarita, but I think I'll have to go with the whiskey sour! Home Plate in Beijing still makes the best ones I've had--they also serve better BBQ than any restaurant in the USA.

If I'm feeling "summer fancy" I'm going with a blackberry bramble, though mine are definitely much uglier than this 😂

Erm, none of the above for me thanks!

Long Island Iced tea if I want something with a bite, or Sex on the Beach for something sweeter.

Not that I drink any of those now - much rather have an Old Speckled Hen or a Ghost Ship (low alcohol version please!)

Not one for cocktails now but my favourite was a Harvey Wallbanger.

  • 1 1/4 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Galliano L'Autentico liqueur
  • 3 ounces orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • Garnish: orange slice
  • Garnish: maraschino cherry

This looks very drinkable @pgn

I would probably like a cocktail 🍸 if someone else put it and told me what it was 🙄
