Hi Guys & Gals,

Wimbledon starts this Monday 23rd of June 2014 to Sunday 6th of July 2014

Can Andy Murray defend his 2013 win ?

I remember the positive atmosphere when Andy managed to take the win against Novak Djokovic.  Drum

Well he did become the first man from Great Britain to win the singles title since Fred Perry in 1936.  Bouncy

The womens final between Marion Bartoli, {winner} and Sabine Lisicki was a very good final too.

Now England are out of the World Cup Football we need something else to cheer on. Cheers

Whilst I like watching tennis sometimes, I never watch a match until it's in it's last (or suspected last) set. I reach my boredom threshold watching the opening sets, just far too long.

So, along with others I will be rivetted to the Btitish Grand Prix though I'll definitely be giving the Regatta a miss @Cleoriff LOL

Latest...Cavendish definitely out slight_frown

Oh definatley a glass of Pimm's, Old Boy.  Cheers

I'll watch most sports F1 included. I'm drawn to the all the Tech in the pits.

Jaw-dropping

From a medical perspective they made a good call on Cavendish. You dont get on a bike 24 hrs after a shoulder dislocation... you could do untold damage. Add to that, the pain would be excruciating Shocked

GM All ..... sorry @jonsie to hear that Mark Cavendish is out of lgd of TdF ..... on repeated slo-mo it could be clearly seen that Cavendish was heavily leaning/pushing left shoulder leaning on cyclist to his left who I believe also fell ..... that's just my take on whaat I saw ..... shame never-the-less

Anyone for Tennis ? ..... yep I will be rooting for gentleman player Federer & hoping he breaks Pete Sampras' record no. of wins at Wimbledon ..... I think that's it ..... so you don't like don't sportsmen showing off their hairy legs eh ? @Cleoriff ..... well they could always shave them couldn't they like the professional cyclist Sir Chris Hoy who was a good sport allowing this as an ad clip during the lgd of TdF tv coverage breaks ..... personally, for me I really don't mind ..... as ..... men with hairy legs generally have hairy chests which definitely does do something for me Bouncy :womanvery-happy:

c/f Jason Donovan ..... the actor/singer ..... when he was on Strictly Come Dancing ..... in the training room ..... he would often wear a vest ..... = ..... this many times showed off his underarms which were grossly over-hairy ..... = ..... yeulsch !

Re: cycling ..... oh no, all those men in tight lycra leaving nothing to the imagination either front or back ..... & ..... I'm not impressed with tv views of the cyclists from behind either for same reason ..... but I will be watching for the scenery, much of which I will recognise ..... I have lived in York ..... = ..... Fantastic .....

Yes and he has matched Jackie Stewarts record of 27 race wins. He is only 4 points behind Rosberg now
