There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

Today`s White Room Quiz is eight questions with two questions from each of these categories

- GEOGRAPHY   SPACE    WORDS    MUSIC

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo  - their answers between 12 noon today [Monday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Tuesday].

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

Q5 GEOGRAPHY 2 - The Rangipo Desert is in which country ?

 

Q6 SPACE 2 - There are four "gas planets" in our solar system - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, What is the fourth ?

 

Q7 WORDS 2 - What does a phillumenist collect ?

 

Q8 MUSIC 2 - Which rock band had a UK No 1 album in 1976 with "Presence" ?

                            

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

 

Those who want to take part must send a pm [private message] to me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Mon 14 Mar 2022] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 15 Mar 2022]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

 

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

 

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Wed 16 March 2022

 

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, Thinkers will be awarded as follows

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Mon 14 Mar 2022] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 15 Mar 2022].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Tues 15 Mar 2022 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

@Mi-Amigo answers on there way over to you

  1. I have heard of Sheffield and Rotherham at least. I live in London and can only think of the one running through the middle of the city 🙄
  2. I know who was first on the moon.  Why was the first to drive a vehicle on the moon not as famous.  That could be a fortnight map, the moon.
  3. Speleology. Is that a thing ? A real thing ?
  4. I know one of the composers, cannot remember the other one.  Gimme the point ref! 😎
  5. Guessing
  6. Must have that answer correct
  7. Where does @Mi-Amigo find these questions. A master scrabble player or the quiz book from Christmas

3 Yes speleology is a real thing

4 wait and see 😀

7 where do I get the questions from ? A fair enough question. Some are taken from the numerous quiz books I have [inc one I had as a Xmas pressie from a neighbour, which I don`t use very often as it has some very tough questions in it]. Generally I come up with questions after looking through various books I have in my quite varied library - for example I might look through a science book and come across an interesting fact and then base a question around it - but I always check reliable sources before including such a question in a quiz.

Yeah, I can definitely redact "educated" from my guesses too 😂. Knew a couple for definite though, luckily. @Spenny @RafaC
