Internet has become a part of our daily lives now, most of us would never imagine a day without it these days. From checking a website to an email, we use some form of

browser to access it from a PC/ laptop.

Over the past years, users have been trying new browsers so they can explore new features and capabilities. Which particular browser do you prefer and why?

Some research conducted by Mashable

My favourite has always been Firefox, I haven't really given Chrome a long trial yet.

Edit: the main reason is I've yet to find a site where it won't work, and some of the add-ons are very good.

Been using Chrome for a good while now.

Recently tried going back to Firefox but just did not stick.

IE seems to be moving in the right direction, but still not enough for me to jump back to it.

Been on Chrome over 12 months now. I like the speed and the large variety of add-ons. I use FireFox for certain applications though.

I prefer Firefox but Chrome is very nippy.

We share the laptop so we each have a browser so we're not having to log each other out and him indoors got custody of Chrome do haven't had chance to see if it could sway me from Firefox.

you seem like a loyal IE fan Adam out of the whole bunch so far, interesting! slight_smile

Like others, I do have Firefox and IE as a back-up option (often used to replicate faults) but Chrome seems to be lightening fast for me.

This is the proportion of different browsers which accessed my web site over the past 5 months. As per Google analytics.

Firefox         34.55%

Chrome         31.67%

Internet Explorer         18.37%

Safari         9.28%

Opera         4.43%

A bit different to the Mashable statistics. Smiley Frustrated
