Think we're having bad weather? This is tonight's forecast for the Northeastern US.

Peaked at 29c

Had to cancel carer today as needed to get into town for necessary items

Kind friend assembled my fan for me ....... have it made up in shopping bag

Spent lots of time with friends having good conversation laced with racy humour ....... at a bar I frequent in an afternoon drinking mugs of tea and halves of Pepsi Max with ice & a straw ........ X ....... Sharing between friends / like minded individuals ..... but ..... I did say the cogs in my brain are out of sync and needs some UB40 ... meaning ... WD40 ....... *t!tter$*

It reached 31c.

However it clouded over for a while, not losing any heat but at least we had a breeze!

I'm off to watch the village cricket team in the 26°C heat

Fortunately they play on the village green with a nice (but quite expensive) pub straight facing

Extra tables and massive parasols added to the outside area

Cooling cider shandies with ice are the order of the day....

Lancashire League @jonsie ?

No it's just a local Saturday/Sunday team

Just a bunch of kids and old men enjoying a knock about 30 overs

Won 3 Lost 11 Rained off 3

But the club does have their own bar though it's only cans

Pub facing much the better option

Sunday :-

Generally blue skies and sunshine, but with occasional cloudy intervals. No wind and no rain.

Still too hot although maybe a degree or two cooler than yesterday. Twenty-eight degrees celsius at 2.00pm and remains twenty-eight degrees celsius at the time of writing.

Sounds perfect @jonsie !

I used to know someone who was quite a good amateur cricketer and was based for a period in Manchester's northern environs. His big claim to fame was bowling to Collis King in the Lancashire League. 👍

Bowling out Sir Garfield Sobers was my claim to fame
