You obviously have no idea of how I have learnt to BS over the years....Wont help long term.....but if it means my apartment continues with its 'Priority Status' among the staff employed there (including the Community El Presidente)...then that will do for me...

I'm the same here but it doesn't stop me being baffled and dismayed at some of the customs and practices here. For a foreigner here eating is ridiculous. A Thai goes into a restaurant alone and pays 50 baht. I go in and I pay 60 baht. Go in together and we both pay 60 baht because they know the foreigner is paying. Then she wonders why I won't leave a tip. 

And don't even get me started about getting something done in the home.i have to go out when they come round for estimates or to do jobs otherwise the price always goes up if they see a Ferang. Same with taxis and local shops..
