Hi guys,

Its a big time at the moment for gaming. E3 has just ended and Gamescom is just around the corner. We thought we'd open up a few fun discussions on the subject.

We're starting off with what is your favourite ever gaming console?

Do you prefer hand-held devices? Was the look of the console an aspect that grabbed you? Is Pong as far as gaming goes for you?

For me, it will always be (in my view at least) the original PlayStation. It was the console that opened my eyes to the video gaming world and Crash Bandicoot was my first ever game slight_smile

How about you?

It is indeed great history.....it's just there have been so many ....

I think my lads first games console was the Vic 20 or some such .....it all seems pretty basic nowadays. They played a game called Space Invaders? I was good at that... Confused

Tis an age thing @jonsie.....we find other pleasures....Bouncy

That's for sure. My kids and grandkids grew up with the introduction  of gaming and I'm talking about atari, spectrum and the likes and have never lost their passion for gaming. They have the latest consoles (is that the right term? Who cares LOL) and all the latest games. The grandkids all play games with their mates...apparently they can even talk to each other doing it...who knew Horrified

I like the simple pleasures, a long ride in the sunshine on the Yamaha,  taking my wife out to eat and drinking in the sunshine here, sometimes with the kindle, very often with headphones listening to the golden era of pop 1963 to 1979...my lifestyle and I wouldn't change it wink

I played that, ping pong and progressed to the spectrum with chucky egg and manic miner. After that I kind of lost interest because the kids were always on it and once they were in bed I couldn't get the wife off it.LOL

Such negativity.
Would you believe I have possession of an atari console, q-Bert, chucky egg, space invaders, F1 racing, space invaders, asteroid, and paperboy.
And it works....
It's my retirement fund lol
