National Cheese Day - celebration πΎ
βWorld Cheese Day takes place on the 4th of June every year, a delightful day for cheese lovers to unite and celebrate their favourite dairy delight!
I have always enjoyed cheese. I use extra mature cheese to fill a pitta bread and toast on an iron skillet to melt cut in half and ouzy melted cheese.
Blue vein is lovely with cheese biscuits. Brie on thin toast very nice.
Fruit is a healthy and tasty addition to cheese:
Grapes, peaches, apples, pears any of these with cheese makes a healthy enjoyable meal.
Beer .. cheese and crisps tasty
Wine .. cheese and crusty bread π
Love to hear about your favourite cheese.

All of the above sounds really tasty @TallTrees .....if only I was a lover of cheese.π€
I'm a bit of a peasant really, in that the only cheese I like is mild English Cheddar!!
I love that on toast, in a jacket potato or a salad.
My sister, could serve a delicious cheeseboard, post evening meal or at a special cheese and wine party and would always say, (as she plonked a lump of mild cheddar on my plate) 'Do excuse my sister, she has no taste at all"π
So I'll excuse myself from any cheese party of yours π€£

My favourites:
All of the above on bread or toast or atop Shepherd's Pie
Not really a fan of soft cheeses to be honest

Not a massive fan of the large variety of cheeses personally.
Only tend to it a nice mature cheddar - CostCo have a nice one (Colliers), and was always partial to Davidstow.

Thank you @TallTrees for the suggestions to accompany cheese.
My fav cheeses are Cheddar, Red Leicester, Dutch Edam; but not a fan of soft cheeses or cheese spreads.
