I was tearful to see Obama go ... & ... pleased to see Hillary & Bill Clinton at the posh/expensive lunch

USA elected their 1st black American as President ... he was elected by the ordinary man & woman in the street for 2 terms of office

It tickled my fancy to make a bob or 2 out of Trump as Hillary was odds on at the bookies att ... sad slight_frown she didn't make it, with Bill behind her it was a no-brainer imhho (humble/honest)

Well, we'll see what the bombastic Trump will do to wreck his own country & our's & others in the process

I watched the inauguration on BBC News channel ... I believe Trump's parade was 1 hour long whereas Obama's was 4 hours

Holy Crap

Pretty much everything has been deleted from the white house website.   But fear not,  "Trade deals working for all Americans" is so important that it is part of "America first foreign policy" and also has its own section within Issues.

It reads like a job application, or maybe what a candidate would say on The Apprentice.

Apparently "It is normal that the site is completely new; it is notable that climate change is not mentioned on any one of Trump's new pages".

Well @Anonymous everything President Obama did will be undone by Trump. It's already started. So 20 million people wiil be left with no healthcare for starters. It's like President Obama never existed.

Oh and watching the news later - I couldn't watch the Inauguration as I was afraid I'd be sick - it was said Trump cut the parade down to one hour. Of course, the Trump camp didn't want to admit that there weren't enough people for more than an hour's parade unlike President Obama's Inaugurations.

Already the Trump camp has started as it means to go on - lying.

Today the world has protested. More people on the streets of the US today than yesterday when Trump was sworn in....Not only in the US... rallies were held in London, Berlin, Rome and hundreds of other cities in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East, with organisers estimating a turnout of more than 3 million people.

Yes, there have been many protests. But, unfortunately Trump has the skin of a rhino and nothing will get through to him. He doesn't care how many people hate him; he doesn't care that he lost the popular vote and only got in on the electoral votes; he just doesn't give a damn. He's in the White House and he's gonna do what he wants (he thinks).

All the protests won't change the damage Trump wiil incur on the American people, on NATO if he has his way, and he began seconds after taking office.

I feel for the 20 million people who are about to lose their healthcare. People complain about the NHS. They should move to the States where the first question you are asked when you go to hospital, and beforr they'll treat you, is what health insurance you have. I'm so thankful for the NHS where all the pills I have to take are free. Where I have received excellent care in hospital and not received an exhorbitant bill to pay for it.

Like @Bambino I am truly ashamed of my country and the people who voted for this man and couldn't see what danger he poses to American liberty.

Well, I take it back Trump is not as thick skinned as I thought. Some things do get to him. The size of his inauguration crowd as opposed to President Obama's and the size of the crowd of Washington protestors yesterday, which the Press had the nerve to say was larger than at his inauguration.

Really the man is an idiot if he truly believes people couldn't see that there were less people at his inauguration than either of President Obama's. And from what I could see on the news the Washington Protest crowd did exceed those at his inauguration as well. Does he think people are blind or have bad memories? And does he think the media wouldn't have retained film of President Obama's previous inaugurations from which comparisons can be made.

I always thought Trump was an idiot now I know it. And to add to the farce was his Press Secretary ranting at the Press about what they have said/written about him and then walking off in a huff without taking any questions.

We're only two days into the Trump administration and already we are seeing a total lack of respect for any position other than Trump's.
