Hey everyone,
As we have some very talented photographers on the forums I thought I'd share some info about World Photography Day. World Photography Day is a day intended to inspire amateur and professional photographers alike to share images that depict the world from their view point.
"The date behind World Photo Day originates from the invention of the Daguerreotype, a photographic processes developed by Joseph Nicèphore Nièpce and Louis Daguerre in 1837. On January 9, 1839, The French Academy of Sciences announced the daguerreotype process. A few months later, on August 19, 1839, the French government purchased the patent and announced the invention as a gift "Free to the World"."
You can get some more information about World Photography Day here. It would be great if you could share some of your own snaps, whether a stunning vista or a funny holiday photobomb we would love to see your best shots!

I like landscape pix
I have tried to get to grips repeatedly with a digi camera ... but ... to no avail
Is it just me who canna do this ?
Best camera I ever had was a Ricoh 'point & shoot'
It was Camera of the Year in its time ... I couldn't bear to part with it, still in the bureau, alongside my old Nokia phones
Happy, of course, now with my orange smartphone for taking all pix
