Great news for your grandson, @Cleoriff .
I have been watching the price of oil, both for heating and for the car, and see petrol/diesel taking a rise of about 1p a week for the last 8 weeks. The heating oil situation has shot back up from 128p/500litres in November to 197p/500litres last week.
Seems Opec is not going to lift the brakes on production until April at the earliest, so prices are going to keep rising.

As another cold snap is on it's way, I can see elderly people start to suffer again @pgn . Turning the heating down as they can't afford to pay their bills!!
On a different topic, morning TV looks very different today on ITV.
Piers Morgan has left Good Morning Britain. Stormed out yesterday and then resigned, (probably before he was sacked) Over 40,000 complaints about his handling of the Harry and Meghan interview.
It's no secret that he dislikes Meghan with a passion and over the past two days has aimed absolutely vitriolic comments at her. Jaw dropping TV, when he accuses her of making up stories about her mental health and racism she claims she suffered.
Apparently the Palace have said they will deal with these claims inhouse.
Let's hope they deal with it slightly better than they have with the Prince Andrew issue.

Re the above, I've read Piers Morgans contract was due for renewal on March 21st, also he has 'other irons in his fire'.
So I think Tuesday's shenanigans were to give him more publicity.
It appears he may be joining one of the news shows where anything goes.
(A bit like the US)
Andrew Neil, who will be launching GB News later this month, feels that Piers will be an asset to his new show.

Can't stand the bloke but to his credit he says what he thinks & doesn't apologise for it.
I can't stand him either @Anonymous I think he belongs to the dirty tricks brigade. I've never forgiven him for faking those photos of British soldiers supposedly abusing an Iraqi prisoner of war. All proved beyond doubt they were fake and he was sacked from the Daily Mirror.
As for the Meghan and Harry debacle (whatever you think of them) I think he's a bully who enjoys hurting others by assaulting them with words ... because he’s in a position to do it. This is not freedom of expression, or freedom of the media and it never has been. It’s about cheap gossip devolving into malicious slander, defamation, and deliberate, calculated character assassination.
It's no secret that he hates Meghan with a passion because she ignored his calls for quotes and effectively sidelined him.
Good riddance to bad rubbish I say!! (Rant over)

I can`t stand Piers either. He is rude and opinionated and won`t let guests reply to his allegations or comments. What`s more he has on more than one occasion fallen out with Suzanne [co-host on GMB] because she doesn`t agree with him. The only thing is his favour is he stood up to the Cabinet members over their handling of the Covid crisis and failure to appear on GMB. That said, it`s "Good riddance" and don`t think he is going to be missed by anyoe with an ounce of sense.

Yes I'll give him that @Mi-Amigo.
His disdain for the way the government handled Covid and the way he gave hell to whichever cabinet minister was prepared to be assaulted on GMB.
The only problem is with Piers, he doesn't give anyone the chance to answer.
However, his opinion is the ONLY opinion worth anything according to him.
Alex Beresford, the guy who took him to task on Tuesdays show, is a nice bloke with mixed race parents. He said that Piers had absolutely no right to call anyone of colour a liar for claiming they had suffered abuse. He also was the one who let the cat out of the bag about Piers hatred for Meghan. That was exactly the time Morgan stormed out, knowing it was the only way he could shut Beresford up. Lol

Morning campers!
Up early so I can watch 2nd day of testing for Formula One in Bahrain.
No sandstorms in that place today and weird to see people walking round in shorts! (28c again)
