Just got home from the pub ... fed the cat ... kettle on
Yes, North Yorkshire and York are in Tier 2
During Lockdown 1 and 2 the pubs were shut
Now if the establishment serves food you can have an alcoholic drink providing you have a 'substantial' meal
One micro pub in town has been closed because they did not have a 'food licence'... (does't normally serve food)
The hotel, bar and restaurant I have frequented nigh on 30 years since living in North Yorkshire has become a 2nd home to me and my few good friends ... today we exchanged Christmas cards and presents ... it was our Christmas party
Don't know what will happen when Boris makes an announcement on 16 December

I'm just hoping on Dec 16th we come out of Tier 3 @Anonymous
Our boxing day family meal will be off, if it doesn't.
All a bit **** as we were in Tier 1 pre-lockdown.

It is non-sensical @Cleoriff 😞
I know how you enjoy your special festive meal out with your family at Christmastime
I shall be spending Christmas Day and Boxing Day with my mum ... God Willing ... mum is vulnerable ... it will be a first for us both = just the 2 of us together at Christmastime ... my sister will be spending special time with her family ... my son and daughter-in-law are having a quality Christmas Day and Boxing Day by themselves ... or ... maybe travelling to visit her family - it just depends.

Of all of the above, the part which made me laugh most was the idea of you with a central parting.

I’m doing the foster carer thing for the weekend. This is the 1st chance I’ve really had to post about it & can’t really go into detail. Tbf I think social services have literally no one to turn and I’m the last resort.
So we got a pizza last night. (I say last night 1am.. diet out the window) Did some shopping. Borrowed a bike from a mate so we could go on a short ride today. Tomorrow said child is off on a club ride where they’ll get some peace from me for a few hours. Some reflection time tomorrow night before catching a bus on Monday to school.
If all goes well that is. (Yikes)
