That doesn't sound good, and if the blisters were there before he went in sounds like something else has happened (ie, an infection in the skin) - not that I need to be telling you this!!

If they've not installed some scaffolding then he's in for a long recovery based on your earlier post - fingers crossed for no complications and that everything heals quickly @Cleoriff

Can anyone recommend a company for me to buy a flat packed double wardrobe unit for a good male friend of mine who is in the process of downsizing and now lives in the north of North Yorkshire?

I have looked on Amazon, which is my general 'Go To Place' ..... and found a decent looking one with 2 drawers at the bottom ... = ... so suitable for a man ..... the nice fellow is alright with fixing things together.

Any help would be gratefully received x

Thank you @pgn for the suggestions.

My good friend rates Argos ... & ... has for a long time. I had not thought

I have, nor would he have, ever bought anything from IKEA before.

I haven't told him ... & ... I want to have it done & dusted for him to receive at his apartment = my treat. He likes 'fuss free' design like I do.

Only just seen your post @pgn ..... sorry for the late reply.

I quite like Argos furniture.

The beech coffee table we have in the lounge, has lasted 22 years @RunrigForever

Also have quite a bit of bedroom furniture (bedside tables and drawers) from Argos.

Thank you @Cleoriff my friend likes light coloured furniture, it will go with his new apartment.

Now the RMT have paused rail strikes I am going to visit my friend on Monday, weather permitting, snow is forecast. I will get a good idea of things then. He is on the 1st floor of the complex, but there is a lift.

If he likes light coloured furniture @RunrigForever, he can't go wrong with beech (unless he prefers white?)

I just typed beech bedroom furniture into Argos and came up with this:

https://www.argos.co.uk/sd/beech-bedroom-furniture/

Of course Argos do deliver large items, although I expect it will come as flatpack.
