Another accident
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/alton-towers-rollercoaster-crash-live-5809187

Now, I'm no prude, I love coasters as much as anyone, but I'm telling you now, that ride is not safe.
It's had numerous failings, bits of track falling off, multiple carriage stops and it didn't even fit together correctly when being constructed.
It's about time this ride was given another safety inspection.

I hope Alton Towers get everything they deserve over this......Smiley Mad

I heard the 18 year old lad has been tweeting today....thanking everyone for their kind wishes. Makes me feel quite humble.

Other similar rides at Thorpe Park (the Saw) and Chessington World of Adventures (Dragon's Fury and Rattlesnake) have now been shut down for tests.

These are all multi-car rides.

People are now complaining on Twitter that they're closed down - would you believe it? Smiley Frustrated

It beggars belief doesn't it? These are supposedly intelligent responsible human beings and would be the first people to be outraged and demanding compensation. Utter idiots, they deserve anything they get!

One of those sitting in the front (a 17 year old girl) was training to be a dancer. She sustained life changing injuries to both her legs according to the news today slight_frown So people should think long and hard before moaning that Alton Towers is closed Evil

It was reported last week, but the family asked to keep it out the press at first http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Off-topic/The-Smiler-at-Alton-towers/m-p/884866#M56090
