I just thought I would start this thread for a bit of a giggle.
My son had a tattoo on the lower part of his neck. He was assured this was the name of his son Ben (in Japanese) A year later he was gutted to find it meant Book, not Ben

There was a story about someone who had one tattooed from the nape of her neck down her spine, in Chinese, I think - it was apparently a line from the menu in the local Chinese restaurant! Urban myth, perhaps.

Well, seeing as they take a print of the tattoo and then trace it onto your skin first, I'm guessing you got that right

Not necessarily, some do it free by hand.
