It's that time of year again folks.
From Monday August 13th they will start revealing the candidates for this years show. I understand the first one will be on that nights episode of the One Show.
Many names being bandied about and people are even putting bets on them? (A bit stupid when there's been nothing official yet)
Anyway names in the mix so far
Cheryl Cole (can't see that happening)
Ashley Roberts (former Pussycat Doll)
Lee Ryan (from Blue)
Faye Tozer (from Steps)
Les Dennis
Tom Daley
Steph Mc Govern BBC Newscaster.
Dan Walker (Sports Presenter)
Colleen Rooney (can't see that as they have just upped sticks and moved to the US for Waynes football career)
Michelle Keegan (Corrie and Our Girl)
Mark Labbett (The Beast) from The Chase.
Kate Silverstone (BBC Newsreader)
That's all I've got so far and probably half of them are wrong but hey...
What is certain , the judging panel and the presenters remain the same.
Also the guy who will replace the lovely Brendon Cole is Neil Jones. He has been on the show as a back up dancer and is married to last years winning professional Katya Jones

I did not vote for Lauren because she is a paralympian
I always vote for who I thought did best on the night

Totally agree @Glory1
It's getting beyond farcical now.
Yes she did well last night....but one acorn never makes an oak tree.
I hate it when people are getting a sympathy vote. They need to get a grip. It's a dance competition FGS...
She was bottom of the leaderboard last night and rightly so, yet never once been in the dance off??

@Cleoriff is that best dancer of the series or best dancer(s) on the night? But the reality is that the choices of music were abysmal which put Charles at a severe disadvantage. Even if Lauren or Joe was in the dance-off, I'm not sure he would have survived.
This stage of the series either you need to be very good or have a big fanbase to avoid the dance-off. Ashley didn't quite do it on the first performance and has no fanbase to speak of but second time round was probably the second best of the night. She really does need to be number 1 on the leaderboard next week otherwise another dance-off beckons.
As for the show, disappointed they did Rhythm of Life in those garish outfits but my, that singer was brilliant so they're forgiven. Can't help feeling that we were watching some X-factor candidate with Adam Lambert and did every X-Factor cliche going with the vocals. Katya/Neil weren't that good either.
Next week, two dances so lots of mistakes appearing. Will we get an all female final line-up now Charles has gone? I doubt it but Lauren is going by default.

Exactly @Cleoriff you get it. Ashley outdances Lauren every week yet has been in the dance off twice. While Lauren has never been in a dance off, though excluding this week, bottom of the leaderboard evrry week.
Absolutely ludicrous.

I don't even think Lauren was the best dancer on the night. That's my point. She upped her game but was still bottom of the leaderboard. Yet she still gets through?
I just question the judgement of people who want her to win over much better dancers.
I expected Charles to be in the dance off although he DID a beautiful Rhumba....and was praised so much by the judges for it. He hasn't got much of a fanbase...
Joe has a massive fanbase from You Tube so the youngsters will vote for him

Anyway, it's good to differ with opinions.
It would be boring and pointless if we all agreed. ![]()

Well that's one thing we agree on....I think he won because he was with the lovely Ola. No other reason...
You can make that 3 @Cleoriff. I couldn't believe it when he won, he was definitely not the best dancer in that Final.
