And how time flies! Time for the annual reveal of this years Strictly cast of celebs. Oh who am I kidding, let's just pick the anonymity out of the dustbin that is the BBC budget for a flagship show. So before the exciting questions of "Who is this" and "Que?" followed by "Weren't they on Eastenders a decade ago?" and the inevitable "Guess who's needs a career boost", we must mention the new and exciting changes.

First, in a very thoughtful and provoking group session in the BBC canteen, same old judges line-up and we'll get more of I, Claudia propped up by Tess Daley emerging from her yearly hibernation box who may sport another subtle cosmetic procedure. DAO is likely to return as Oasis are still on tour. 

Though in rather more salacious news, there is a drug investigation by the BBC into two "Strictly stars". Which was submitted in March but hey, a new series of Strictly needs all exposure as possible so was announced a few days ago. Must disengage cynical mode....and two new dancers to join Neil Jones as backing dancers: Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. Usual pro-dancers and yet we still have Katya Jones? 

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey

First up, because the BBC really need Gladiators to be successful and everyone will be copy & pasting his name cos I ain't typing it. Former athlete and er, current Gladiator. Could do reasonably well but may find himself in the dance-off mid-series because someone has to.

Alex Kingston

Various roles over the years and this years older woman contestant so far. Could be fun or could be not. 

Dani Dyer

Not Danny Dyer and just to remind you who she is, the BBC has kindly put up a photo with Danny Dyer. Famous for being Danny Dyer's daughter and being on Love Island but mainly being Danny Dyer's daughter as seen in the photo. Dubious EE link but we await to see if Danny Dyer will be announced as a contestant to remind everyone who the daughter of Danny Dyer is.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Legend. And my favourite so far to bring the entertainment. Possibly some decent footwork coming from a footballer but we'll see. Probably won't help him find a new club to manage though.

Just a word on the FB Strictly groups. For every person who said how great Ambers dances were, another few popped up to remind us that she was a musical Theatre star. The fact that musical theatre USUALLY doesn't require any type of ballroom or latin dance seems to escape their tiny brains.  Yes you have to be fit and generally have some rhythm but unless you are appearing in Thriller, The King and I, Singing In The Rain or Guys and Dolls, I doubt you would see the type of dance required to get a mark from the SCD judges. (and just laughing at the thought of our judges marking the King of Siam's waltz with Anna)

No, Amber got a bad rep as she appeared on Love Island. Thank God for Nikita, giving these internet trolls a damn good telling off. 

Personally I don't like her much, HOWEVER, that doesn't stop me being amazed at her dancing skills, particularly as she stepped in with 3 days notice for Dani Dyer. 

So, my final 3 would be Karen, George and Amber.

Balvinder just better be in that damn dance off tonight. as she robbed us of Lewis.

Fab-u-lous darling presented Tess Daly with a lovely bouquet of flowers at the show to celebrate her 500th show .. lots of balloons too .. a nice surprise. 

It seems she hadn't counted them!

RESULTS SHOW/

Saw a lot of the judges and their best bits. 

Then we had Kylie who looked lovely but mimed well to an awful Xmas song!

More of the judges and then they thanked Tess and Claudia for their work over all the years.

Amber chose Couples Choice. Just brilliant.

Amber scored all 4 votes of course. She is the in the final with George and Karen. 

Been far better with Lewis but there you go.

Tess in a bathing suit, Claudia in funeral suit. How we forgot the semi-final results show is the last chance the presenters and judges get to do their best bits we didn't want to see. And they didn't miss the opportunity to remind us how "fun they are". Then they gave T&C an award. Like have you seen their pay packets for the show?

So we were treated to a progression of Tess's cosmetic procedures and descent of Claudia's fringe. Kylie trying to do YMCA and failing. Interesting both Tess and Kylie are about the same age as me and lets say my beauty regime is far less involved and far cheaper. Do you think they want some helpful tips? 🤣 

James: excellent but why did the Pro-dancers think they could dance to Sit down without a pint glass in the middle of the dance-floor? Not that I've ever done that in my younger days. A main road, but thats another story.

Pointless dance-off with yet again, Amber with a 40, selected by the voting public. Thankfully Balvinder declined to participate in the final (not that she stood any chance against one of the best routines) so whilst we're happy at that, we're still not happy Lewis isn't there. 

Sigh, the final sounds like Karen is doing a re-hash of her CC again and George may not push any boundaries and Amber won't take prisoners but will fail to win.

So as we know Amber won't win....as confirmed by us and the 3 SCD groups on FB who hate her now she's knocked out 'darling Balvinder', who will win out of Kaz and George.?

One of the things I hate about the BBC is they never tell us who came 3rd + 2nd in the final.  Just who the winner is!. 

Only programme I know who keeps this a secret. 

Cheek actually, its the public voting so they should know.

In my opinion .. nothing to do with the real  voting points (hidden)  or judges giving their experienced views ..... it's about getting the  viewing numbers up, upset the viewing public tell them it's you !! vote more (helps with cash flow 😂) and keep your fav. is this  fun?  not really how can it be, viewers upset and hate Amber?  Gosh a happy family show.

I'm going to guess the PC outcome:

Amber top class, Karen is a footballer doing very well but obviously not as good as Amber.  George the in-between, happy person good all round dancing.  Ah George!  Everybody likes George 👍
