And how time flies! Time for the annual reveal of this years Strictly cast of celebs. Oh who am I kidding, let's just pick the anonymity out of the dustbin that is the BBC budget for a flagship show. So before the exciting questions of "Who is this" and "Que?" followed by "Weren't they on Eastenders a decade ago?" and the inevitable "Guess who's needs a career boost", we must mention the new and exciting changes.

First, in a very thoughtful and provoking group session in the BBC canteen, same old judges line-up and we'll get more of I, Claudia propped up by Tess Daley emerging from her yearly hibernation box who may sport another subtle cosmetic procedure. DAO is likely to return as Oasis are still on tour. 

Though in rather more salacious news, there is a drug investigation by the BBC into two "Strictly stars". Which was submitted in March but hey, a new series of Strictly needs all exposure as possible so was announced a few days ago. Must disengage cynical mode....and two new dancers to join Neil Jones as backing dancers: Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. Usual pro-dancers and yet we still have Katya Jones? 

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey

First up, because the BBC really need Gladiators to be successful and everyone will be copy & pasting his name cos I ain't typing it. Former athlete and er, current Gladiator. Could do reasonably well but may find himself in the dance-off mid-series because someone has to.

Alex Kingston

Various roles over the years and this years older woman contestant so far. Could be fun or could be not. 

Dani Dyer

Not Danny Dyer and just to remind you who she is, the BBC has kindly put up a photo with Danny Dyer. Famous for being Danny Dyer's daughter and being on Love Island but mainly being Danny Dyer's daughter as seen in the photo. Dubious EE link but we await to see if Danny Dyer will be announced as a contestant to remind everyone who the daughter of Danny Dyer is.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Legend. And my favourite so far to bring the entertainment. Possibly some decent footwork coming from a footballer but we'll see. Probably won't help him find a new club to manage though.

WEDNESDAY strictly it takes two 

Rara interviews George and Alexis.. Bal and Julian all going over last  Saturday dancing and their thoughts on this Saturday dance.   Now they are mainly concentrating on the new moves.

Watching training with Vicky, Karen, Amber and Lewis.  

The Rara Wednesday Fashion panel is ...

Jo Elvin, Julian Macdonald and Jody Kidd. Chatting about the dancers and their outfits. The panel were asked to select the costume they liked best..the costumes were from the previous weeks and each chosen costume was presented on a manikkin.  Julian liked the Cheryl Cole military style one as he had designed the original.. 🙂

Bit annoying that I'm missing this Saturday.

I did read today that next years SCD will be shown on Saturday only.

This is to stop the results getting out in a Spoiler.
Good idea really. They can do the main show and 2 hrs later show the results. Then we'll all know at the same time.

Also about time they stopped the pretence of this being 2 shows. The public arent idiots!

@Cleoriff Just like they used to for best part of a decade till someone realised it was disrupting the Saturday night schedule with Casualty, the News then Match of the Day starting later. Watching them linearly these days is pretty much redundant with iPlayer. Just watch the football highlights on YouTube whilst waiting for the Results show instead of MotD, its so much better not to listen to pointless views. Or like us, post on here 🤣

Don't remember the MMA either on the old Saturday night results show so definitely a good thing bringing it back to a one night.

Good trip down here to Brean in  Somerset. Sunshine all the way. Arrived at 2pm. 

Then at 7pm when we were about to go to venue for a meal and watch the show, down came the rain and not stopped since. up this am...still raining! Lol 😂😍

I looked last week in fact and knew La Voix was up against Harry. When I saw Harry was out, apart from being bloody annoyed, I thought @sheepdog is going to hit the roof. I wasn't wrong 😂🤣

Mind you, my lad Lewis is being very outspoken about the FIA and their totally inconsistent penalties. The Arab CEO is getting very racked off with him, so I think next year will be his last. (Or they could replace him with AI, 😂🤣

Thursday with rara general chat as usual Then rara looks at costumes showing some nice design. Showed Nikita's costume he liked the leather. 

Friday chat with Fleur

Shows the training and has chats with celebrities.   

The camera crew showed how they managed to get around the dancers.. what a job!

The Friday Panel decided unanimously that Balvinder and Julian would leave the show.
