~~ Hiya, im of on my hols soon, for i week, do i need to do anything with my currant pay and go tariff?, or can i just use as is? - Will my IPhone 3GS work out there ok?,  as iv heard not all do!!!!!???? - do i need to inform O2? - if so Why?  I will only really be txting to a Mobile phone in same country, Spain, and txting back to the uk. - Wont be using internet Ie: facebook - etc, and i know il be paying for the txts @8p a time out there, which is fine, Maybe the odd call, only Maybe!!!. -dont want to upset the tariff iv got now, just want to up and go, - I think it will be cheaper doing it my way!!!! -- any help guy's??  -- thanks's.  ~~

Go to www.o2.co.uk/international for all the charges.

 

I would recommend turning your data roaming off in Settings > General > Network > Data Roaming as apps can use this even if you don't intentionally connect to the internet. You can still use the hotel's wifi with this off.

 

It might be worthwhile calling O2 to make sure you can use the phone abroad but it should be okay.

Turning off voicemail would be a good start

Dial 1760 this will remove the lovely charges with it.

Turn back on dialling 1750.

Make sure you turn off mobile data while your out there. iPhones love updating in the background.

Turn off your voicemail (dial 1760) and data if you don't need them.
