Saw this on the news and I thought it was a joke... (if you think of the date today) wink

I did a few google searches and it is all over the internet and was posted yesterday.

Apparently an Irish farmer no less, has found a very innovative way of rounding up his sheep LOL

So ....my theory is this....if it's real.....RolleysRolleys   its good...if its an April fools joke it still made me laugh.

I dedicate it to @Anonymous  LOL

Yeah this can be real, drones are highly agile and could round up a flock without much adapting to regular flying.

I know you have a drone @viridis I was hoping you would comment.

I was amazed when I first saw it on BBC news this morning. Then a bit cynical when they interviewed the farmers brother who said he used the drone when the sheepdog went missing. Rolleys ...I thought ok...sooooo... ..a farm in Ireland. The sheepdog conveniently goes missing....and this guy just happens to have 'a drone in his pocket' so to speak  Confused

Medium to Higher end drones give a live video link and 2 mile range.
He could very easily sit at his desk and control the drone in first person view to find the sheepdog and then retrieve it.

I saw this in the early morning hours and given the date just laughed and said yeah, ok! Ban this immediately as I don't want hundreds of dogs out of work. We need a petition for our canine friends...,.

I have visions of rogue drones seeking and destroying the flock and ready cooked lamb on the cloven hoof....
